| Guest Speaker Colonel Charles Davies (Retired) True North Strong? A Canadian Citizen’s Guide to National Defence aims to provide ordinary Canadians with a plain-language “guidebook” to help them make informed judgements about defence issues. It also offers insights that will help them assess how well (or not) the governments they elect are managing defence resources and policies. It does not try to influence how they look at the institution, or suggest what they should think about it. Rather, it provides basic information and insights that will help readers make up their own minds. Author Charles (Chuck) Davies will talk about his path to writing the book and the key messages he hopes readers will take from it. |
