Below is a photograph of Sergeant John Robertson’s second raising of the new flag on this historic day – at the school in the Canadian Permanent Married Quarters (PMQ’s) in Werl. Also below is an article from the local German newspaper recording the event. Sergeant Robertson is seen saluting as the Red Ensign is lowered for the last time.
